The Heavy Price of Profit

Broiler chickens are bred and consumed for their flesh, are victims of an industry that places production above wellbeing. Decades of selective breeding have forced these animals to grow at an extremely unnatural rate, leaving them crippled under the weight. Walking, standing or even breathing often becomes an agonising ordeal due to lameness, dislocated joints and compressed organs .
To put this exploitation into perspective: if a human baby grew at the same rate as a broiler chicken, by the age of two, they would weigh an astonishing 210 kg - 240 kg .
This shocking hypothetical underscores the grotesque extremes imposed on these gentle animals - extremes that would be unimaginable for any other living being.
